O kit de desenvolvimento do FPGA XILINX Virtex XC4VFX60 é utilizado em aplicações de custo mais elevado e essa FPGA possui 56880 células lógicas, 4176KB de memória RAM com frequência de 500MHz, 12 gerenciadores de clock digitais, 128 XtremeDSP e cerca de 194 pinos de entrada e saída disponíveis na placa PCB (o chip em si suporta até 576 I/Os). O kit ainda dispõe de 32 Mbits de memória FLASH, um programador USB onboard JTAG por meio de um chip FT2232D, oscilador de 100MHz e 1024 Kbits de EEPROM, entre outros recursos.
